Council Meeting
August 10, 2022

18.Mayor Hamsher opened the meeting at 6:15, the pledge of allegiance was done, and roll
19.call.

21. Mayor Hamsher called on Brian who was representing ODOT to explain to everyone
22.what they have planned for Prairie City. Brian explained they will be updating the ADA
23.ramps to meet safety requirements and will also be installing a Rapid Flashing Beacon.
24.They will be working with property and business owners one on one to coordinate and
25.take their input on the design into consideration providing workable solutions.

27.GPCCA- Nancy Nichols representing the GPCCA wanted to announce the 1st annual
28.Community Labor Day BBQ and wants the entire community to know they are all invited.

30.Minutes:
31. The minutes of June 2, 2022 Budget Meeting were considered.
32. MSP: To approve June 2, 2022 Budget Meeting Minutes. Councilor
33.Officer/Councilor McClung.
34. The minutes of June 8, 2022 Council Meeting Minutes were considered.
35. MSP: To approve June 8, 2022 Council Meeting Minutes. Councilor
36.Officer/Councilor Bloom.
37. The minutes from June 28, 2022 Budget Hearing were considered.
38.MSP: To approve June 28, 2022 Budget Hearing Minutes. Councilor
39.Officer/Councilor McClung. All Council members present voted unanimously.

40.Public Works Report:
41.Public Works Director, Chris Camarena reported that they located a significant leak that
42.was flowing full bore from an empty property. The leak was fixed and the reservoir up an
43.entire foot the following day.

45.Fire Report:
46. Mayor Hamsher called on Fire Chief Marvin Rynearson for his report. Expressed
47.the need to implement the City’s Traffic Control Plan.

49.Payables:
50. To ratify the payment of the bills. MSP: To pay the bills. Councilor
51.McClung/Councilor Bloom.
