PRAIRIE CITY OREGON MEETING MINUTES
March 9, 2022

17. 6pm Meeting called to order. Pledge. Roll Call.
18. Mayor Hamsher amended the agenda to include Clark’s Disposal
19. Clarks announced they will be offering new/improved roll carts and that

they have new

20. Trucks with automated trash collection.
21. Approval of Feb 9, 2022 Minutes MSP Councilor Williams/Officer
22. At 6:12 pm Mayor Hamsher announced that the council will be going into

Executive Session.

23. Mayor Hamsher Read ORS.660 (2)(e) and ORS192.660(2)(a) dismisses visitors,

and tells them

24.  When the sessions are over that they will call them back in. No decisions can be

made in

25.  Executive session.
26. Mayor Hamsher welcomed visitors back into the room.
27. Council moved to authorize Mayor Hamsher to begin negotiations on cell

tower site lease

28. MSP Councilor Officer/Williams

29. Councilor Williams made a motion to approve the Public Works Utility 1

Position be filled by

30. Candidates A and B leaving Candidate C as an alternate. The starting pay rate will

be $18.50 an

31. hour and will increase to $19.00 per hour after the six months’ probation period

is over. MSP

32. Councilor Williams/Bloom
33. Chris Camarena, Public Works Director gave the Public Works Report.
34. Chris announced the retirement of Utility Worker Tom Gangler.
35. Fire Chief, Marvin Rynearson delivered his fire report.
36. Marvin said he would help coordinate community clean up to prevent fire

danger.

37. Payables: Ratify Payment of the Bills MSP Councilor Officer/Reagan
38. Meeting Adjourned.
