CITY COUNCIL MEETING

October 11, 2006

Attended:
Mayor Hamsher called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Roll call was called, Marvin Casebeer,
Tom McAuslan and Roger McKinley being absent.  The pledge of allegiance was recited.

Sandy Murray was not present, however Stan Horrell presented a letter from her requesting the
use of City personnel and the lift to decorate a tree with Christmas lights at the Blue Mountain
Nursing Home.

Planning:  Mayor Hamsher said there may be an issue coming up concerning the school’s chain
link fence on the corner of 12th and McCallum although he cited he didn’t think there was a
problem with it.

Public Safety:  Officer Wood recited the fire, police and ambulance logs.  He said the
Department of Justice was granting money for half the cost of vests up to $725 and that the
money would be available until 2010.  Mark Wishard questioned him regarding vehicles being
cited for parking in the fire lane on the Texaco property and also complained that cattle trucks
(not his) are driving with their traps open and spreading cow shit on Main Street.  Officer Wood
said he would cite them, but Wishard said he just needs to warn them to shut their doors.

Resolutions/Ordinances:  none.

Other Business:

6:45 p.m.  It was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting.
